Designing Self Improvement
Have you ever thought about the part that you play in the designing of a self improvement programme of your dream? There needs to be a plan that involves thinking of the future improvement that you want and what you are going to do to get it.
I have suddenly discovered that there is a relationship between what we choose to do and the coincidences that happen in our lives. Have you heard people say things like, “It is simply luck…” I am not sure that this is the whole truth. I think there is an invisible rule that stipulates that you will experience more of what you give to make the lives of others a more pleasant experience. Have you noticed that when you are polite to others, they chose to reciprocate in kind? If this rule is true, I think it provides an incentive for us to desire to give the best that we can for the world to share. Indeed your attitude to this rule will determine the nature of your self improvement and development.
The realisation of this link is continually encouraging me to think carefully about what actions I am taking in all the situations that I meet. I think my decision to continue to write blogs is related to my interest in enabling others to achieve their best in everything that they do. So, I know that others will give their best to make my dreams come true. Recently, I was in a difficult situation. I know that this rule of getting what you have given out to others came to play. I noticed that the people around me were willing me to succeed and they were doing all that they could to make sure that I succeeded. If this rule is true, I think it allows each of us to participate in the shaping of the future.
For self improvement to remain as productive as you anticipate, you need to begin to consciously build into your thinking, consideration for the needs of others. We are linked as humans to a common need for support and encouragement. A little act of kindness might be all that is needed to ensure that the potential of the people around, is realised. Recently, I sat down to evaluate the effectiveness of my investment in time and energy into blogging. Then I read a comment by someone who visited my blog and commented on the value of my blog. I am convinced that the benefit of what I am doing is far more than I could ever think or imagine.
Let me summarise, you can shape the nature of your self improvement by the way you treat other people around you. Giving your time to others is simply giving yourself the chance to grow and to continue to make progress.
