I totally agree that everyone we meet contributes to our lives, good or bad and, I'm a firm believer that like team dynamics, all relationships must go through the "ringer" as it were ... it has to go through the testing phase and that could simply be that the person may not share the same ethics on a certain issue as you do. So, the question is, does that element of what they believe really matter or, can you agree to differ and move on. If you agree to differ and move on, that's a demonstration of the commitment to which you refer and this really can add strength to relationships.
